This just Grinds my Gears

EDIT: I don't care how u view the books, because I really dont care, and how u feel about this series wont change my view of it

Wanna know what pisses me off? (sorry for all the negative journal entries, I just have to get this out.)

The Twilight series pisses me off to no end! Everyone at my school is obsessed with it, I tried to read it, and couldn't stand it! It completely DEGRADES vampires for all they are! I think vampires should be portrayed at they originally were intended to be over 100 years ago! And this book series just infuriates me.

Vampires are supposed to be dark creatures.
They are supposed to drink human blood.
They enjoy the night.
They are somewhat sexual creatures.
They DON'T age.
They aren't supposed to live with huge families etc...

And Twilight takes all that away from them.

And people out there who read it, go try a vampire book that doesn't destroy vampires... aka Dracula or the Vampire Chronicles (although Im not a fan, Anne Rice doesn't deggrade vampires in it, she just makes them seem a bit gay)

Ok, I'm done. I just can't handle this fucking stupid modern portrayal of vampires. It makes me barf. Oo, and they're making this faggot series into a movie. That's gonna suck! They could spend their money to make a better vampire movie, that doesn't degrade them! Rawr!

:shrug: i think that it's kinda a different....species....of vampire. maybe. i also believe that maybe she used a vampire as a "base" and just edited them. probably. but, then again, i'm probably just trying to defend it because i like it ><. then again, that's what opinions are for.

Well... it is Stephine Meyer's series... so she does have the right too change the material... I honestly enjoy the series. Everyone to their own, I guess.

Um... but she doesn't have the vampire's aging... I just thought I shd point that out... ^^; Don't think I'm being a smart-elic or something, though... please ^^;

That may be true, and if you like them thats cool,but that doesn't mean that she didn't completely degrade how vamps were intended to be intended...
